Dr. Urban is an experienced inventor dedicated to creating effective, accurate, and safe devices to fulfill unmet needs in women’s health, dermatology, and vascular medicine.

Dr. Urban has 20+ years of experience in multidisciplinary teaching, academic program development, and strategic partnership building, and has conducted 500+ patent analyses across the medical device, life sciences, and mechanical engineering technical areas for assessments of patentability, validity, and FTO to inform commercial strategy and secured over $1.1M in funding for research and educational initiatives while designing an undergraduate BME program and award-winning student research team.
